Metromile is an auto insurance that charges you per mile you drive

If you drive less than 10k miles / year, this may be a way to save on your monthly bill.

You may already have the best rate if you combine your car insurance with your home insurance.

They will send you a device to attach to your car so they know how many miles you drove. Some people may not like being tracked.

Metro Mile only works in California, Illinois, New Jersey, Oregon, Pennsylvania, Virgina and Washington for now.

I was going to sign up with them, but decided not to at the moment because they do not offer any type of 'deflation' insurance for new cars(I forget the term). I have Allstate so if my car gets totaleld, they will pay me for the full value of what I paid and not the Bluebook value. After 3 years of owning my care, I will switch to Metro mile. You can save a lot of money with them expecially if you don't drive that much (AKA a lot of highway driving). They have a device that you plug into the OMBD port of your car sot hey can track mileage. As for tracking fears, just remember one thing: your cellphone tracks you 24/7!! All these new computerized cars that are being sold track you as well as being able to tell you how fast you were going and in what direction and if you had on your seat belt, etc. Every new car has a black box inside it.

GPS tracking, no thanks. Who knows what they do with your data and whereabouts. My car's not OBDII anyway.
