Just tried this and it worked! First they tried to offer me 1 year for $103 (comes out to $8.58 a month), declined that. She then tried to give me a 'better' deal by offering 6 months for $52 (comes out to $8.67 a month, so don't know how that deal is 'better'). I finally just said that I didn't like any of those prices, so I would just like to cancel, so she brought out the 6 for $25 offer ... I've had satellite radio since June 2011, and have NEVER paid more than $5 a month for it (first 15 months were FREE from buying the car new).

have had for two years now, they saw I did this last year... the guy was reluctant to offer me anything good. Tried to offer me only music for $130's. I said no.. Transferred me to the number many are calling below. (866-635-2349) When I talked to them about cancelling they were able to offer me a better deal. Glad to keep the radio! Guy was super friendly and actually was able to add my wife's car too at same low price $103. 28 per vehicle!!!!

Worked for me too, very quick. $88 for 12 months

Called again. NG they said I needed a radio
Too bad, I was really interested in signing up.
|
 |
Guest - 2 days ago
Tried it again and it turns out I can't get a deal for internet only and I'll need a physical radio. I'll try one more time and then if not, I'll move on
bummer, sounds like I might be the only person not to avail anything from this deal
|
 |
Guest - 2 days ago
Just tried to get internet radio only and they were telling me $15 a month. Tried to haggle but they said I needed a physical radio for the $3 a month deal

Guest - 2 days ago
Thank you!! I just saved 69.30 by calling and telling them that I wanted a better deal. The service rep, Dave , was very nice and polite. He offered the $86 dollar plan and said the $77 plan no longer exists. I did not argue and took the $86 dollar plan. I am happy.
|
 |
Guest - 3 days ago
Just renewed for $86.00 you must have more than a month to go to get this rate at least that was what I was told by the CSR. A friend got $77.00 but needed to call 3-4 times. For $9.00 it was not worth the effort.

Got my annual invoice of $298.40 for 2 radios for 1 year. After watching the video, I called in and told the rep I wanted to cancel due to not being able to afford $300 to listen to the radio. The rep said she completely understood my dilemma and said she had several promotional offers if I was interested in hearing about them. I said I was; she proceeded to tell me that she could offer me a half off rate of $86 fees per radio for one year ($101.59 per radio) or I could pay for three months and get three months free at a rate of $51.35 per radio (if you do the math, that's more than the first offer by $1.11), or the final offer was 5 months at $29.52 per radio, which works out to be $70.85 for an average year even though the offer is for only 10 months. I told the rep that I still couldn't swing $86 per radio but if she could get the rate down a little but more I might be able to afford it. When all was said and done, I got both radios for the year plus all fees and taxes for $191.22, a savings of $107.18 off the original invoice. I went with the year versus the 5 month plan because I don't want to have to deal with this all over again in October !

Guest - 3 days ago
Beware - I was told over the phone that both of my radios would be given the promo rate of $86/year plus tax and that internet radio would be included for free. They never sent a statement for my new plan so image my suprise when my credit card statement came back with $323 in charges. It took an hour over the phone to resolve the issue and they would not give me the internet radio. Make sure they send you an invoice and make notes on your account!

lol after 'thanks for calling sirius' it says they are having technical difficulties and cannot transfer my call - great!
|
 |
Guest - 3 days ago
I just called and was offer the rate of $86 for a year- with tax and other fees it came to $103.52 for a year. Be aware that you need to call one month before this yearly subscription is up because it will automatically renew at the regular rate. Example May 17, 2013 to May 17, 2014 you pay $103.52 Then May 18,2014 to May 18, 2015 automatic charge of the REGULAR RATE ($160 or more).

This does work. I just did this and got $86 for a year. And she told me, come back again next year and do it again.
|
 |
Guest - 4 days ago
I was told $86 was the best price they could offer for a year.
|
 |
Guest - 4 days ago
It works. I spent about 15 minutes and discussed all the alternatives she was offering. 5 months for 24.99, and $86. annual is the short of it. I wanted to add internet radio so that was in the negotiations too. She claimed there was no $77. annual and was more reluctant to deal on the internet. Ended up with $86. annual plus 3.50 mo internet (she did give me 2 free months) total with fees = $122. Seems pretty fair to me.

Anybody know if this will work for new customers?

Worked for me. Got it for $86/year as well. Thanks.

Rep couldn't honor the $77, but did the $86 tax. I had shown a balance on my acct where they auto-renewed me (I was on paper invoicing), but I was able to have her waive that as 'a one time courtesy'.

I just called this number and told the rep I was interested in renewing, but at the $25/5 month deal, and it worked perfectly. He even talked me through it with statements like, 'So, what I am hearing is that if the 5 month $25 rate is no longer available, you'd like to cancel. Is that correct?, ' to which I replied, 'Um, yes!' It was a funny phone call but in the end I saved a good bit of money so thank you!

hi -
I just called number above, think I think a janitor accidentally answered instead of a real sales person… Kept flubbing her lines, then would start over… and over…. yikes.
Activation fee - Couldn't get past that with her, she swore there is no way around the $15 one time charge (per car - signing up two)… I gave up then… Will try again later.
Anyone else have this on activation? Both cars are on 1 year trials… What about a discount for two cars?
Thanks!

Just called and told the CSR I did a online search for deals and read him this post. Deal I got was 12/mth, for 75.00 ( select plus& online) total 94.54.Original renewal invoice amount, 223.89
I just called 1-855-854-4634. (Sirius Canada). Last year they had offered me a package for $77.40. When I called back to renew this year, at first my CSR said the best he could do was $145. I said I paid way less than that last year, and he confirmed that I had paid $77.40. I asked if there was any way they could match that price again. He said he would have to talk to his manager. When he got back on the phone with me, he said he has received permission from management to renew at the same price that I paid last year, and that would include online listening. Woo hoo!

Called in to the number above and got Kyla. I told her that we got a new car and didn't drive this one much anymore (awww, I lied to a corporation) so I didn't want to renew. She immediately offered the 86/yr price. Easy-peasy.

My service (which I was paying too much for on 2 vehicles) didn't automatically renew because my credit card number had changed. I wasn't going to renew but got word of the $25 deal. I used everyone's tips, called and was incredibly polite and friendly and had no problem getting the 6 mth/$25 deal with an invoice renewal chg of $2. That way there won't be an auto pmt of a large amount to my credit card in 6 mths and I can renegotiate the deal all over again! Easy 5-10 min task and what a savings!

I called the number on Siriusxm's website (866-635-2349) and was offered Select service for 119/yr when I called to cancel. Told her I would think about it since I had another week of service left. I then called the number you list above (888-601-6302) and was immediately offered the half price deals. Got Select service for $86/year plus Internet Radio for $17.75/year. Very helpful site!

I had already renewed once (after my 3 months free time) for 6 months for a total of $29.54. Was automatically charged $105.26 for 6 months with no announcement (they didn't have the correct email address). I called and said it was too much and they dropped it down to $104.12 for 12 months, and I said no, so we ended up with 5 months for $30.25 (incl. taxes and fees). I just have to call back in 5 months to renegotiate or cancel. I could not stop the auto renewal b/c they needed my credit card in the system to refund me the difference. Thanks for the posts here -- very helpful!

My one year trial expired today. I called earlier today but all they wanted to sell me was high priced packages so I told them I would have to think about it. I called tonight after finding this website and told them a friend just renewed for $25 for 5 months. He gave me the same deal right away. I also paid for the $2 invoice billing so that it would not automatically renew at a ridiculously high rate.
|
 |
Guest - 1 week ago
The rep I spoke to just a few minutes ago right away offered me the $86 plus the fees for a year. She also offered the $25 for 5 months plus fees. When I told her I would still have to think about it, she gave me 1 month free so I could think about it. :-) I'll call back in a month and see what they offer then!

I just called and told them I would like to renew, their price was $205. I told them I would renew but that price is too high. The operator immediately offered 1 year at $95. The total was $120 after taxes. Thanks for the info!

I called twice. First time I've been told 'sorry no discounts. you need to pay $159 tax' ... I told that's too expensive but all I heard was 'sorry'. So I called again (5min later) and I said 'It's just too expensive, is there anything you can can do about that?' and wow! 'ok, we can offer $96/1yr'. Nice!

$80 bucks off a 1 yr. subscription at $175; not surprising do it every year like clock work; just like with cable tv service
|
 |
Guest - 2 weeks ago
Called. Told them $175 was too much for a year. Told them I was going to cancel. They apologized and said that since I did not receive any offer directly, they couldn't honor one. Needless to say, after 6 years of SiriusXM (and great deals over those years), I'm done.

I got the 6 month $25 special.. I put a calendar event to call 2 days before it expires.. I called the number (1-888-601-6302) and told her my trial is coming to an end and while I like the service there are too many commercials.. I am certainly not renewing at 100 for 6 mos again..She said she was going to try and get me the 6 month special again.. 30 seconds later she come back on and says I can have that promo.. Total Call time.. 5 minutes!

3 radios. I was getting gouged at $159, $109, and $95. Embarrassing (for me).
I called to cancel and meant it. They offered me $89 per year. I rejected the offer since that was unreasonably high and ask to cancel. They asked why. I told them that $25 for 6 months was expected. They approved. Now I need to keep a reminder to call back several days before 6 months.

any ideas to get same result after my trial period is over? called and rep gave me the standard price that is on the web site.

I currently have the SIX MONTHS for $25 US that was mailed out to many old customers in late 2012. It expires in 2 weeks. I called Sirius to see if I could get it again at that rate, was told 'NO' - one promo per account. and my renewal was scheduled for over $100. I said that was too much, could he do any better ? He gave me a number for 'Custumer Care' 1-888-539-7474 - I called them and they offered renewal for $89 - I explained that the car in question wasn't driven regularly and even $89n was too much - the agent 'escalated' my call to a manager who offered a renewal again at the promo rate of $25 for SIX MONTHS (which is what I asked for in the first place) but by now I was a bit annoyed and said 'NO - 'CANCEL IT' - He then offered TWO FREE MONTHS EXYENSION just to 'think about it' - I was tempted but didnt want to go through all this again and actually did CANCEL the service.
BOTTOM LINE
Sirius wants your business and will deal
YOU ABSOLUTELY CAN GET ALL CHANNELS ON ONE CAR RADIO FOR LESS THAN $5/month ( Six month for $25 USD plus tax and fee)
DON'T PAY A PENNY MORE ! DONT PAY $109 OR $89

Worked like a charm! Price went from $97.81-6 months to $28.11 (including all taxes)-5 months. They are refunding $69.17 to my credit card. I DO enjoy the service and think their willingness to lower their rates will insure they retain their customers.

I just called and told them that I wanted to cancel both of my receivers because I didn't use them enough to justify the cost. She immediately offered me the $86.00 plus fees per year deal for each receiver. Total I paid $193.50 for 2 radios for 1 year. I requested the paper bill for an additional $2.00 because I didn't want them to have my credit card number.

Called and was told about the 24.99. asked about $69 year plan. Was told that with managers approval the best they had was $86. In less than 10 seconds he had approval, and two minutes later i had service. With tax title and ect... it was 100.00. I have no complaints. Thanks for all of the advice

Had to call twice. First time the rep didn't have anything for me even when I said I would cancel. Second time the rep found the $96 for 1 year of the Select subscription so I took that. Said it was 50% off. Thanks!

Just got the $25 for 5 months deal. With internet listening, it was a total of $32.63 including taxes. Very easy! I just told the rep I wanted to cancel, she asked why, and I said it is too expensive and I use Pandora on my phone instead. She initially offered a slightly lowered rate, then I said no thanks - I know others are getting 5 months for $25. She 'looked into it' and 'because I am a regular-paying customer' she gave me the $25 deal.

No need to threaten to cancel. I just asked for abetter rate deal and got select/family friendly for $90/year (tax included).

$80. Offered $86 but I asked if they could do better since I have been with them a few years. Didn't watch the video. Simple to do- make the call, say you want to cancel and go from there.

Guest - 2 weeks ago
Got $107 for year of premier when my trial is up in 4 days. Call lasted about 10 minutes . Offered me 6 months for $35...almost took that, should have taken that, but hopefully the 1 year will give me a little pull for next renewal negotiation. Costed about $3 more a month, but I consider that an investment. We'll see though.

Is it really necessary to go through the song and dance with each offer? I'm about to renew my 5mo/$25 deal that is expiring and I just plan to tell them I'm cancelling if they can't refresh the deal. Why beat around the bush?
