I've received the Special K Resolution package yesterday, I think I may have won the Glamour Film Swag Bag (won't receive for a while), and a Hallmark Magazine food contest most recently. I haven't anything big like a car or large amounts of cash but I am happy for what I have won cause I use it as gifts if I dont want it or need it . Also if win cash even if it is $5.00 or more that something so stick to it .

As a matter of fact i just won a Neutrogena Microbrasion kit which came from a Real Simple giveaway.It came yesterday.

Most recently, I have won a $30 g/c to Starbucks, a $100 Grilling Utensil Set, some of the Allure contests from last August. But, a lot of the freebies I sign up for on here make up for the contest loses. I've gotten coleman flashlights, sleeping bags, food, tons of bath and body samples, home products,kitchen products, etc. Play everyday ....if you have the time! I just started last year and so far i've only gotten freebies and a host for hershey's bliss chocolate. Got some free fandango movie tickets (freebie) and nothing else. I've entered all those allure, Quick and Simple, Lucky, Seventeen sweepstakes and nothing. I've gotten some free shirts and undees from seventeen when they ran the promotions. Oh and lots of free magazines, love it.

How i think this all works, it has lots to do with your location and what their target audience are. Take Houseparty.com they know which target audience to go after and what location will best service their product. Working with a maketing guru i've learned the tricks of the trade but i still am unlucky. When and if i win a car then i'll be a true believer in these sweepstakes.

Just keep on cranking it, its a numbers game maybe like me you'll win the big prize. and also enter at different times during the day for different sweepstakes maybe that would increase you odds of winning. Timing is everything LOL

In my experience, that's *very* true for survey sites, and not at all true for sweepstakes. I've lived in many different states throughout my adult life, and have won in all of them.

Again, in my experience, that's not the case. All of the sweeps that I've won so far this year were entered at the same time every day.

What's worked for me is:

1) entering a lot of sweeps every single day
2) checking several sweeps sites every day for new sweeps
3) making sure that every form is filled out completely and correctly
4) reading the rules completely before I enter any sweeps
5) entering mostly big ticket sweeps
6) being patient and having faith

I had one contest end that I entered on a daily basis, but it ended after like a week when it was supposed to be a 3month long thing, could the sponsoring company have backed out? That depends upon the sponsor, and the reason the contest stopped. For instance, Advance Auto Parts recently suspended one of their sweeps for several weeks after their computer network was hacked. After investigating and fixing the problem, the contest resumed.

In some other sweeps that I've entered, the contest never resumed after it was suspended. When you read the fine print in most contest rules, you'll often find wording that goes something like this:

"Sponsor reserves the right to cancel or suspend this Sweepstakes and randomly award the prizes from among all eligible entries received prior to action taken by Sponsor, should fraud, virus, bug or other causes beyond the control of Sponsor corrupt the administration, security or proper play of the Sweepstakes."

I don't know. I suspect that the answer is no, because they all state that they have no way to contact you if your mailing and email addresses are incorrect. If they captured your IP address, they might be able to find you through your ISP. In any event, if you're on broadband, your IP address is probably dynamic, not static, so capturing it is pretty useless.

I've been entering sweeps for about 5 years and haven't won a big prize..yet. Im too stubborn to give up!
It's taken me this long to finally win a prize from Allure. Just received the Sekkisei Exfoliating Massage Gel.
The biggest prize I've won is a big box of Redken products.
