This is a great card - the best on the market (since CitiBank nerfed their diamond rewards card! :28: ) IMHO
Also, i believe if you wait until you have accumulated $200 of cash back they will give you a $50 bonus!!
:claps:
Note - the 3% is capped at $600 worth of purchases in your top 3 categories.
eg. say you bought $1000 worth of gas, groceries, and electronics in a month. You would only earn 3% on the first $600 and then 1% on the remaining $400.
still the best card - unless you are a super big spender. citi used to offer 5% w/o a cap, but they dropped it to 2%. Plus, they only have 4 or 5 categories (groceries, gas, drugstore, convenience stores, and utilities) and chase has 15. However, citi gives you bonus on all the categories all the time uncapped. Chase only gives you whichever are your top 3 for the month and caps it at $600. So, i guess if you were gonna spend more than $1500 or so it might be worth it to go with citi.

too bad it says...........
Purchases not eligible to receive the 2% bonus rebate include, but are not limited to, purchases made at superstores, warehouse clubs, and discount stores.
I have this card, My highest purchases are usually at Home depot or Lowes, they only give 1% at these stores. I guess they consider them warehouse stores.

If you have oodles of money and are spending so much that you would actually get more than that anyways, are you really concerned about a few dollars?
LOL
No, seriously - do you know of a better card out there? I'd love to find one.

You can't make a statement like that and not have any better alternatives. I have this card and the rewards do add up fast. The 3% is good for up to $400/month, not bad in my opinion.

How about Amex Blue?
It offer 5% on gas, groceries, and drug store. Everything else 1.5%.
My suggestion is to use both cards. Use Chase for Cable bill, cell phone bill, and transpotation. Everything else use Amex.
What do you guys think about this?

one thing I like about my credit cards are the cash backs and rebates!
