Converse and Journeys have paired up to bring you the "Get Out of the Garage" music contest! You can win a free trip to New York City for 4 days, 3 nights of free studio time to create and mix your own song at Downtown Records, where artists such as Gnarls Barkley and Justice have recorded. To enter, pick up an official contest envelope at any Journeys shoe store. Mail the self-addressed envelope with your song selection, containing ONE original song for review. Alternatively, you may upload your song online at www.GetOutOfTheGarageMusicContest.com. Ten finalists will be selected--one grand prize winner will be selected; the remaining 9 finalists will receive a pair of Converse shoes, a gift certificate from Converse, and to be determined prizes from Guitar Center. Entries will be accepted through September 15.
In conjunction, Paste is giving away a pair of Chuck Taylor All-Star shoes as well as an assortment of swag from Downtown Records.
