I'm in no way qualified to give financial advices, but many people on the net seem to be suggesting the US Dollar may see rough times ahead.
It makes sense that US has been and will print more money to get out of this crisis and to pay off debt to other countries but at the same devalue our US Dollar.
At the same time USD has climbed up a bit in the last 2 weeks so it's really hard to tell.

There was a story on the news last night where people were selling off their old jewelry because gold has risen in value.....

Druvans,
.. I really hate giving any sort of advice because I've given some bad advices to a friend that stopped talking to me... but
I don't think you should sell your Gold/Silver now.
Sounds like everyone (in the media) agrees now that Gold is a good investment at least for the next year. Government trying to inject money left and right to help the economy sounds like a hyperinflation waiting to happen.
Take my advice with a grain of salt since I have no financial background.
I have co-workers that tell me that the government knows what they're doing and they wouldn't do anything stupid to ruin the USD.
It's hard, but if I were you I would keep it.

I feel like everyone is an expert and no one really knows what they are talking.

Everyone pretty much just echos what the people in the media say and I think 99% of us have no clue what we're talking about including myself :)
Out of curiosity, how did you buy your Gold/Silver? If you have physical gold/silver, still sounds like many trusted figures on TV state it'll go up. If you bought into paper gold like me, I'm not so sure ={
