View Full Version : Canon I320 Printer for $30 AR at OD.
ShreeKarthik 10-16-2002, 03:22 PM Use $20 of $75 (http://www.officedepot.com/offers/rcvalid.asp?AdID=10558&RD_PARM2=promo/redir.asp&AdID=10558&SID=A37K01B2VFUC9P0WVK8WWXXEKG3994FD&PP=0) coupon, search and add 650206 and send in the $30 rebate (http://consumer.usa.canon.com/specials/pdf/i320_rebate.pdf) .
ShreeKarthik 10-17-2002, 07:30 AM I haven't able to verify whether this printer comes with the ink or is it something that you gotto order seperately. any idea how much it costs. I have a lexmark z31 that forces me to spend $40 every 2 months.
Spoofee 10-17-2002, 08:06 AM I haven't able to verify whether this printer comes with the ink or is it something that you gotto order seperately. any idea how much it costs. I have a lexmark z31 that forces me to spend every 2 months.
What's Included:
i320 Color Bubble Jet Printer
BCI-24 Black and Color Ink Tanks
Canon Photo Paper Plus Glossy 4"x6" sample pack
Power Cord
Setup Software/User's Guide CD-ROM including: Printer drivers, Easy-PhotoPrint (Windows), PhotoRecord™ (Windows), ZoomBrowser (Windows), ImageBrowser (Mac), PhotoStitch (Windows/Mac), electronic User's Guide and electronic Photo Application Guide
So yes! It's included. Wow, you go through a whole ink cartridge in a month? You'll definitely save money if you go laser unless you are printing color like mad too. Color laser printers are a bit expensive.
ShreeKarthik 10-17-2002, 08:46 AM Do i print that much. Nah. But that damn ink doesn't work if you don't print for say 1 month. To hell with Lexmark.
hiloman 10-17-2002, 11:08 AM I believe its OOS now:mad:
HotDealz 10-17-2002, 01:43 PM I have the S330 which uses BCE-24 cartridges also, and they print ALOT for a SMALL price. If you search eBay, you can get 3 color and 3 black cartridges for $16.95 + shipping. Just search BCI-24!
HotDealz 10-17-2002, 10:51 PM if it were me, I would go with the Canon i550, which has the ThinkTank system, which is 10x better than the BCI-24 (and 10x cheaper, not in stores, but online). It also prints 4800x1200 as opposed to 2400x1200. You can find a $30 off $150 in most of the supply websites (office depot, officemax, etc) and then hte $30 rebate on top of that is like $89.99 which is an amazing price for a 4800x1200 dpi printer.
ShreeKarthik 10-20-2002, 08:26 AM It's in stock now. If you want to just get it.
Deallooker 10-21-2002, 06:55 PM how good are these printer?
HotDealz 10-21-2002, 10:04 PM in my opinion they are very good. Great quality printing in both color and black and white (also nice 4x6 borderless prints). The i330 has all the same features as the S330, but for $70 cheaper ($100 for the S330) except for a slightly slower speed.
nolajc2000 10-22-2002, 07:55 AM Man, just so you know, I get mine from allyoucanink.com
It has saved me a fortune. I get Epson stylus 600 colors for $10...savings of around $20...
myanmarguy 10-28-2002, 11:53 PM how is ink consumption of Canon I320 Printer? I've Epson Stylus C40 and it seems eat ink a lot.
HotDealz 10-29-2002, 12:50 AM Its like 180 black sheets per black cartridge printed, and ALOT more color.
benwin 11-17-2002, 06:17 PM the REBATE Link doesn't works friends.
where is the rebate.
thank you in advance.
About the Lexmark, the damn thing does dries up in time. whether you use it or not. one thing to notice this is check upon the weight of the cartridge when u buy, i have noticed different weight and the heavier one lasted longer.
plus their prices are $35 per cartridge. just too much for a sucking printer and the ink that dries in time.
i used a refilled cartridge with it, and it is suckign now and making noise as if it is a donkey.
ShreeKarthik 11-17-2002, 06:36 PM I love this new printer. Just sleek looking and good print outs. Feeling much better after the Lexmark experiment. Trying to make the canon i320 work with linux is going to be a challenge i guess. Try calling OD for the rebate form. It's valid till December 2002. I couldnt find the rebate form in OD as well as canon website.
benwin 11-17-2002, 07:35 PM hi

i am sure many of you guys would have saved the pdf file.

ShreeKarthik 11-17-2002, 09:00 PM U DA MAN.
handyguy 11-18-2002, 09:43 AM There is paper for this on ebay.com 100pcs 4x6 going for about $34.00 or more
Theres a guy there that has ink carts for it too, 4 for $6.95 (buy it now price) they aren't manf's carts.
As for Epsons, they don't let you know how much ink they put in the cart, so you never know if they give you a full tank. The others usually say on the box how much you get. You can't refill most epsons cuz they have a chip in the cart. Thats why they have cheap prices, they make the money back on people buying ink carts from them.
spido2 11-18-2002, 02:28 PM A few weeks ago someone here or on ******** found an HP coupon for $15 off any order, so I got paper then. It was practically free. I also got a $30 inkjet cartdrige for $15.
That's the way to go if that ever comes up again!
-----------------------------------------
As for this printer, mine is still NIB. I'd hoped to turn it on EBAY for a buck, but the EBAY prices on these things are bottomed. I've seen NIB auctions with less than a day to go with the printer at like $10! I have the little baby Sony Photosmart 4x6 printer. It works great. Its sorta pricey, but it makes great prints. I'm starting to think that given the cost of ink and printers and cardstock, its actually more cost-effetive to print right at the kiosk by the photo counter at the drugstore.
I'm either going to give this printer away for Xmas, or else wait for the price to recover on Ebay. And I got it a few weeks ago I think that the offer then was like $20 instead of $30.
Cya!
Spido
benwin 11-18-2002, 04:33 PM thanks for the rebate.
Has Anybody Recieved the Rebate from Office Depot/Canon yet on this Printer deal?
??
TheRingWraithe 11-18-2002, 04:57 PM ... Trying to make the canon i320 work with linux is going to be a challenge i guess...
Maybe not, I have a Canon BJC 3000 which Linux Mandrake recognizes under the CUPS system.
ShreeKarthik 11-18-2002, 05:02 PM Is your printer connected to serial port or the USB ? This one is USB and i know Mandrake 9.0 hasn't recognised it but i am having hell of a time getting XFree86 up and running that i haven't concentrated on the printers yet.
insanex1 11-19-2002, 03:19 AM anyone know of a cheap place to get a usb cord for this printer?
ShreeKarthik 11-19-2002, 08:02 AM BigLots had them for $5.00. They are not the fancy gold plated one though.
soundwave 11-20-2002, 07:53 AM anyone know of a cheap place to get a usb cord for this printer?
I just bought one from Gateway.com for $3.95 with free shipping.
They shipped it FedEx too.
HotDealz 11-20-2002, 10:58 AM I have an extra that I'd sell for $4.00 shipped (and I'd be much faster than everything else) :)
madkao 11-20-2002, 09:55 PM anyone still have this rebate? I just ordered the printer and I could really use it
none of the links work :*(
thanks in advance
Cpaladin 11-20-2002, 10:24 PM http://www.usa.canon.com/html/conCprPromotions.jsp?minisite=10000
This lists all of canon's promotions. I recommend going here as well, as this will allow you to do a right click/save target as deal for the pdf file. People should save all pdf files to the HD imo.
The direct link will not work in this forum. The direct link contains this as one of it's parts
i320_$30rebate.pdf
The page lops off everything after the _ character and drops in the [url] code after it, in the middle of the url, thus mucking up the complete URL<G>
Cpaladin 11-20-2002, 10:32 PM http://www.usa.canon.com/cpr/pdf/Promotions/i320_$30rebate.pdf
See what I mean, I even tried editing where the [url] went to fix this, it just messed up the message even more.
insanex1 11-20-2002, 11:28 PM I ordered the usb cord from gateway and they said that the estimated arival was dec 5 I can't belive that its going to take that long to just send out 1 little 6ft usb cord.
myanmarguy 11-21-2002, 12:48 AM Here! (http://www.usa.canon.com/html/cpr/pdf/Promotions/i320_$30rebate.pdf)
soundwave 11-26-2002, 03:08 PM I ordered the usb cord from gateway and they said that the estimated arival was dec 5 I can't belive that its going to take that long to just send out 1 little 6ft usb cord.
