Um, DealsAreGreat has 60 posts - since when does that qualify him as a newbie?

I'm wondering, since when does 97 posts qualify him to talk down to someone with 60 posts, especially since most of latch's posts are completely useless, like the one above.

If you don't have an answer for someone, don't post. Let the mods and respectful users answer other user's questions.

No idea, I don't see that it was deleted. Normally, for mods, they stay there and mods can still view them, but I don't see it.

Erik, I hope I wasn't out of line saying something here, but I completely agree with you. It's just plain rude to comment to every "newbie," when the Spoofee site itself started with only one member. Every member is a newbie at some point. I just don't understand the big deal that latch is making out of newbies. If I was new and he said that, I'd be irritated. You're right - it was definitely "talking down," and completely uncalled for. It's just rude. And whatever happened to just typing "newbie?" It's much quicker than computer symbols.

Looks like latch is the "newbie" here, having joined 3 months after DealsAreGreat. Sometimes it helps to really read before you comment, latch. Don't go by number of posts, but by join date.

Yeah, it's not only that. DealsAreGreat isn't even a newbie to tell you the truth. I've seen many great posts by him around here. Most of latch's are dumb ones like the above and the other thread.

But, we'll let it sit at this. At least we have proof that he's the newbie!

Hey, thanks! Hope I didn't cross any lines - I was just stating the facts. When they stare you in the face like that, it's kind of hard to bite your tongue (ask Kage_, he's got to live with me! lol).

Good job on the moderating thing! I'm a moderator at another message board, and sometimes it carries over here, because I tend to see those little nit-picky things. lol ;)

I've put latch on a 10 day ban for his comments above. We'll see if he cools down a bit. If not, I'm going to have to perm ban him. I think he's pretty offensive, but I'll discuss it with Spoofee and the other mods and see what they say.

I'm just sick of his offensive comments. I think that right now, I'll at least temp ban him then talk to Spoofee and the mods later on to see what they think.
