ViaTalk is offering Voice over IP service for 2 years. Save on your home land line phone calls!
With this service, you have unlimited local and long distance phone service for 2 years! Comes with Voicemail, Caller ID, Call Waiting, Call Forwarding, *69, free in-network calls, and many more.
A brief comparison, SunRocket offers more features and is probably a better value, but ViaTalk is known to have a higher quality of service, but the feature set is not quite as rich.
Either way, both deals are great and they are a good way to jump into VoIP.
They have a high rating of 91% from Broadbandreports.com

The 3 new number we received from viatalk have constant telemarketers calling them. The calls started within a week after setting up the accounts. Was there a do not disturb checkbox that I missed?!
Why not get a SkypeIn number and unlimited calls for a year? Isn't that only $60 or so a year? Is there a difference with this?
Yes actually, there is, but it's your responsibility, not your phone or Voip company's. Since the numbers are new, they are not on the do not call list. Go to www.donotcall.gov. You will still have calls for up to a month.
Yea, Skype offer - two years $29.99
Unlimited Calling - a full year of unlimited calls to anyone on any phone within the US and Canada for just US$14.95.![]()

On the contrary, you can get a skype-enabled phone and use it wirelessly around the house.. that's what I do with my Sony Mylo and it's great.![]()

There is a small difference in pricing between ViaTalk and SunRocket.
For reasons I won't explain, I've signed up for both under the $199 for 2 year plan.
SunRocket was a one time only payment, no other charges.
ViaTalk also charges me $2.50 per month for E911 and Regulatory Recovery.
Two years for $199 deal isn't currently active. Historically, they've run that promotion as a 24-48 hour promotion around holidays.
Sometimes have a buy bu7y one year, get 3 months free, sometimes free hardware deal.
I'm not aware of any promotion they have currently for new subscribers - double reward point offer shown on their home page is a reward for existing users to refer new people.

Not true! I just looked at VOIPStunt. They will allow you a 1 min free call to any landline number in a free area as a 'trial user'; otherwise you have to purchase 'credits' to call landline phones.you can use Voipstunt for nothing
