I purchased a Kensington laptop bag from Buy.com through Google Checkout the other day and followed all the directions in the rebate form and mailed it in way before it was due and my rebate was denied before it was not purchased between 10/23 and 10/29 when it was purchased on 10/27. Rebate form asked that the rebate must be last postmarked by 11/30, I mailed it no later than 11/05 along with the completed rebate form, the Buy.com packaging slip, the Google Checkout receipt, and the UPC code from the product. Another lame excuse for them to deny rebates?

So you followed all the directions and bought it within the time period?

Why were you denied? If you have copies of everything I would just call them or /and write to them and get the money back.

If that doesnt do the trick you can always escalate it to a Better Biz Bureau Complaint. Usually works for me.

Rebate processors make lots of mistakes (on purpose or otherwise)

I would definitely get into a discussion with them and buy.com right away. In my experience, quite often they acquiesce but only after you resubmit (which of course assumes you kept a copy of everything)
