This is a great little laptop -- we have two Mac laptops -- but the universal law of buying computers is to be VERY wary of "refurbished." Apple's a great company, but they still produce marginally acceptable "refurbished" computers. Hey, a lemon is a lemon, why buy someone else's troubles?

The UCSD bookstore had these new for $799 last month (same thing, but 1.86ghz cpu rather then 2gig). Good deal, but if you can make it to the UCSD bookstore you may be able to grab a new one for less.

The 1.83Ghz model is $799 here too...

Also, there's nothing wrong with refurbished laptops. It's a machine, they replace the damaged part and ship it back out. You're not buying "someone else's troubles"
