That is a very nice weather clock for $30 shipped...that will make a couple of great "cheap" xmas presents. Yes, I shop for XMAS all year round. One can save a fortune that way as well as get some great personalized items.

EDiT: doh, the shortened warranty says don't buy this without opening it to make sure it works right away

This looks like a HOT deal. The unit works with up to 5 remote sensors, and so can display indoor/outdoor conditions. It ships with 1 remote sensor. It also accepts input from a remote UV sensor (sold separately, it seems). I've had very good luck with Oregon Scientific goods and wouldn't worry about a short warranty.

I dunno.. For me, unless an item costs $20, $25 to begin with, $20 off isnt that hot. 40% off is good, but not spectacular. Just my .02.

Especially something like this. I'd pay $7 max for it.

I'd agree, when compared to $50. But the street price elsewhere for this item is $140 at Oregon Scientific, and $200 at amazon. So from that benchmark, this is like 80% off. But then again, I am a nut for gadgets, as evidenced by the fact that I already own a similar unit, and purchased the wireless remote sensors so I can track the temperature at three different spots in my yard. I mention this in the interest of making my bias clear.

This promo code you entered is only available for specific programs.

In other words, it didn't take the promo code. Rats!

I tried it as well, no go. This would have been a great deal. Oh well. Any suggestions?

I might take if it was free. To me things like this are useless.

Not useless if you live on the ocean, weather is a huge part of my life. Actually Groove1, I was going to get it for my brother in Charlotte, (Indian Trail), who is always complaining about the heat.

You don't need a device to tell you that it's hot in Charlotte I can tell you the same thing.
