Yes, I was very sad when Wal-mart did away with there's, now I shop a K-mart for toys and so forth, for the Christmas holidays
The purity of a person's heart can be quickly measured by how they regard CATS..
Well dang I had hoped walmart was bringing back the layaway but no it has to be kmart that we don't have here
I was upset about Wal-Mart doing away with the layaway too. Don't count on them bringing it back. When I called the main headquarters in Bentonville, AR to ask why they chose to do this I was told it was because they were trying to cater to a more upscale community and get rid of the rif raf so to speak. I can't believe that being that most of the wal-marts I have been to are built in the lower to middle class communites. I am sure there are some that are not in these communities but I just have never been to them. Oh well! To me they just choked themselves on doing away with the layaway because I know that this had to cause them to lose alot of business especially around the holiday season.

I dunno but maybe it has something to do with the fact that Walmart sales kick Kmart's butt and Kmart is still stinging from that bankruptcy and subsequent merger w/ Sears ordeals. I'm with you though - not only do I wish that Walmart would bring back their layaway program, but the opinion that they (Walmart) are trying to, especially during these tough economic times, market themselves to a socioeconomic group that they otherwise would not appeal to.
PS: Cam, I haven't seen you around here lately - great to see ya!
