Funny how they call this an "HD" antenna. There is no such thing as that. An antenna is an antenna.

That's like saying a radio signal is a radio signal.

It is more of a UHF antenna since that is what HD is broadcast on now. There is quite a large physical difference between UHF and VHF antennas due to the nature of the frequencies.

HD is only broadcast in the UHF band because the US had gone to digital transmission of TV signals. Digital is not necessarily HD. So, calling it an HD antenna can be construed as misleading.

Still, this seems to be a good price and the ratings are decent. I'd probably go for it if I didn't have cable.

i haven't had much luck with indoor antennas. i ended up buying one an external antenna, one that looks kind of like a digital satellite dish but is a big square.
