I contacted Jiffy Lube about this scam that happened. Apparently their CEO came out to apologize and promised honesty going forward a while back.
 
I know somebody that worked at Jiffy Lube (within the last month) and he said that part of their training was how to identify if the car they were working on had cameras. Their practices have not change and they are still scamming people.
 
I'm confused about this. Not the gift card itself but what's the negatives about? The card offers are fake or what?
 
The only negative I can see is if you can do the oil change at home or go somewhere that is a lot cheaper to do an oil change. The reseller on eBay has good feedback and if there are any issues, you can file a dispute on eBay. Gift cards can be used on top of coupons like cash.

If you go to Jiffy Lube anyways, this is definitely a good deal.

My Kia warranty specifies that preventive services be performed only at Kia dealerships to avoid this specific auto rip-off. Any maintenance done on the engine/drive train done by any other service provider other than the dealership will void the warranty. To be honest, it's not that expensive as I get discounts for taking it back to the same dealership that I purchased it from.
 
@Radarman...that's a scam in it of itself. Many of those dealer technicians have the same level of competency as those Jiffy Lube types. I change my own oil in my driveway on my back and don't let anyone touch my car.
