Shows as $9.99 but when it goes to checkout then it is $8.99. Bizarre.

Here is an excellent smart charger that will charge any kind of NiCad or NiMH battery out there for quite cheap. It is a smart charger so it will not over charge the batteries and has sensors to detect if you improperly installed batteries. Other features as well.

2100ma vs 2500ma is not that much difference. Besides, these are 'pre-charged' or the next gen of NiMH batteries that have a low self discharge. This means you can charge them up and they will stay charged for over a year (as opposed to regular rechargeables that will go dead in months). For these kind of batteries 2000mah is pretty standard. Even Sanyo's Eneloop (the original and top of the line 'precharged') is only rated for 1900mah - though they often take a charge at up to 2200mah.

Still shows 4.99 for me. But I just looked and realized I bought the Rayovac 4.0 batteries (better than these from the top Amazon review) from them on 12/18/2009 for $7.49 for two 4 packs. So this isn't a great deal. Probably be better deals before Christmas.
