    Seagate 73GB 16-bit SCSI LVD 10k for $41.34???

I'm sure this is a screwup at TheNerds.net, but I found a Seagate 73GB 16-bit SCSI LVD 10k for $41.34 (incl. shipping)! These drives are selling for $500+ so I don't know if they will honor the order... but we'll see! I was searching www.shopper.com for 20GB-60GB IDE drive pricing and this popped up in there! Go order one, and see if it goes through. It says 1 in stock and will only let you order one... but I ordered one and the stock didn't go down.

Well, if they charge me more than I approved, they will have another ding at ResellerRating.com, and will get a call to the BBB, and can piss my business and everyone else I know and they know away! I approved $41. If they don't want to honor it, then they should let me know and cancel the order! If there's a problem with their website, it's their problem NOT mine! I'll call them in the morning to see if it will go through or not.

So did you call them? What did they say?
I ordered two but they didn't send a confirmation e-mail.
So I guess they will not honor the offer.:(

    charge

I called my CC and told them not to authorize anything over the price from the nerds. They told me they had a 41 dollar charge pending, and that had to be it. Anybody had it shipped? I received a confirmation email when I purchased it only (yesterday).

Anybody who tried bought it and has any kind of news please post it on this forum so we can keep on top of things. Thanks and good luck to all (we are gonna need it)

I hope this order will go.

    update

My order status says PROCESSED (different than processing?) and as I said before my CC has the charge pending.

One thing, I think we shouldn't call thenerds to ask anything about our orders. That may end up getting them all cancelled. Let's just wait and as soon as somebody has news just share it here, but that's just my opionion.

Good luck to all on this.

okay so now the product is out of stock...lets see if they ship it to you or violate the terms of agreement and then you can sue their asses for not giving you the product you purchased

    and so it ends...

    I got the cancellation email:

    Dear Valued Customer,

Sorry about the inconvenience. Currently we are out of stock on one of the
products you've ordered. Because www.thenerds.net does not believe in holding
our customers back from receiving their products, we have cancelled this product
on your order. Hopefully this will provide the opportunity to find this product
elsewhere. If you are unable to find this product elsewhere, please check back
with us within the week. Thanks in advance for your understanding and we look
forward to serving you in the future.

A credit memo for your Order, #163403-227116, has been added.

    Amount: $261.12
    Posted: 12/5/2002
    Reason: Backorder
Note: This is your backorder credit from TheNerds.Net (for part # 227759)

This credit will post to your credit card account in 3-5 business days. If you
need a revised invoice, log into your e-account and follow the links for an
official receipt. It will reflect the adjusted amount.

    Thanks for your understanding,

The question is, why did they refund me $216? maybe they should rename to themorons.net
