Don't know yet, but should soon. I haven't found anything in the way of reviews on this -- must be pretty new. If you go to amazon and seartch for the DC3500, there's at least one review that talks about the 3550 that OM is selling, and it was fairly positive. Plan on using NiMH batteries, but that holds for many digital cameras.

I paid via MSN wallet to get an extra $44 in MSN bucks, so considering all I'm getting for the money, how bad can it be?? :p

    A review

Got mine yesterday -- that was fast! All in all, I'd say this is a pretty good deal. The Argus is not a pro camera by any stretch, but for a home user, it's actually pretty nice for the price.

    Pros:
    - Price, esp. when considering the extra goodies
    - 3X optical zoom instead of just digital zoom (has 2x digital zoom also)
    - USB connection beats the hell out of my old AGFA's serial plug
    - Super fast at reading/writing the included CF card (card touts itself as 4x), even in hi-res mode
    - No special software needed to access photos. Camera seen as removeable drive
    - Video output cable included for hookup to video equipment
    - Includes MGI PhotoSuite
    - Various adjustments possible (flash control, exposure control, white balance

    Cons:
    - You're limited to two resolutions in taking pics: Low (640x480) and Hi (1600x1200), and two compression levels (1:8, 1:16)
    - Only JPEG files for photos
    - LCD display seems a bit dim ... not sure how good it'll be in daylight
    - Not the most compact design
    - No batteries included

Overall: I like it. I was gonna put the whole bundle up for sale, but I think now I'll keep the camera. It's faster than my old one, and the pics it takes are sharper (maybe it just auto-focuses better). Freeing up the serial port is a plus, and I'm amazed at how fast it transfers data to the computer, but that's probably because my point of reference is an old serial connection. If you get it, remember you'll need NiMH batteries and charger. It'll probably eat alkalines like crazy.
