This is for a blend, not full synthetic. Still a good deal though.

Walmart (& maybe K-mart, etc) has 5-qt jugs of Mobile One (Full synthetic) for about $26, then go to the dealership (or anywhere) and ask how much they charge to change if you bring your own oil (& oil filter, ~$3 ) -- usually it's only $10 - $20 for labor & tax.
I only change my oil every 7K to 15K miles (if I have a good filter) -- Mobile One recommends oil changes at least once a year. I sometimes stretch this a bit too.

Please change the title to blend...someone might not catch it and put the wrong oil in their car.

Upx, that is probably the worst advice ever. Max mileage between oil changes is 5k. Bring your own oil for them to change? Its one bolt and a filter....

Max between changes is 5k? Worst advice ever? I don't think so... the owners manual on a lot of cars now have 7500 miles between oil changes using conventional oil.

I'd rather do it myself, that way I know it was done right. Since I no longer turn wrenches for a living yet I still have access to a lift.

If you can't see what they are doing, then they may very well be tricking you. Lost trust in these places.
