Officemax has the I/O Magic 48x16x48 Internal CD-RW Drive for $19.99 after an instant rebate and mail in rebate. IO Magic has a site with tech support etc. Here's the company product page.

    1. Officemax Price : $69.99
    2. Instant Rebate : -$30.00
    3. CDRW Rebate : -$20.00
    Final Price : $19.99 + Tax

add camera (free) for free shipping

There's another thread going on about this camera:

OfficeMax made a mistake when quoting the value of the rebate for this digital Camera. Instead of the rebate only being $5, it's actually $15. The price of the item is $14.98 after the $10 instant savings from OMax, so once you add this camera to another deal and get free shipping, you're good.

    Item#: 20168685
    Style: 69052

Add it to the CDRW order and the shipping is free, and with the $15 rebate, the camera is free as well. There was a little confusion regarding the rebate, but the officemax form does say $15....

    also...

On the site it says the item is backordered for 7 days... the rebate specifies that it must be postmarked within 7 days of purchasing, so you might be shooting yourself in the foot if you order this while it's on backorder..

amazon is better about rebates now, they state on the rebate that as long as the order date is within the rebate period, then its okay.

I went to Omax for the burner and they didn't have any, but gave me a pacific digital 48x12x48 for 19.99. So no rebating for me!

Was there an ad for this? I would like to take this to staples for a price match.. Since the rebate is from I/O it shouldn't matter where the item was bought..

If someone could scan or link to an ad I would really appreciate it.

Where does it say instant rebate of 30 dollars? Or is this expired?

It was originally posted on 12/30. And upon further investigating, yes the instant rebate portion of the deal has ended. But keep watching the fourms, always lots of CD-RW drive deals popping up.
