Just wanted to say that I had a chance to play with those Seagate drives when I was on-site at Seagate. They're pretty cool, and damn near indestructible when they're off. They have a CF-II hard drive in them. And when what drive is off you can kick it around, throw it down stairs, and treat it like a hockey puck. The drive is really shock-proof when it's powered-down.

Thumbs up The "Hockey Puck" is great!

Bought one for $117.00 at CompuPlus (up to 131.00 now) a couple of weeks ago; been using it at work for imaging PC's away from the office. Can do a 1.5GB image in less than 4-1/2 minutes via USB 2.0 port.

Finally got it configured to be the boot device - no floppies needed anymore on USB-bootable systems! :claps:

Forget the USB "key drives" - this is comparable in speed, holds 5gigs, and is a great conversation starter when in the presence of other geeks....

Is the $10 rebate for the Memorex going to work? The fine print says third party sellers don't count, but the item ships from J&R Music and Computer World... is that one in the same?
