This past Monday my little girl started 1st grade. This will be her third year at school. Every day during her pre-school year, she held my leg and I had to pry her off and kiss her goodbye. Everyday of Kindergarden, we walked to her classroom and she smiled and we kissed goodbye. So Monday, I am pulling into the school parking lot for her first day of 1st grade and she says, "Dad, can you just drop me off at the door?" :teeth: She is only 6yrs old and thinks she is little miss independent. This is my only child, for those of you who have older children; what do I have to look forward to? :) :)

more of the same..:bigok:

and no  in public either!!!!!!

Yep Pug Girl is right.Just as soon as you go to give her a kiss good bye....she is going to tell you"Dad!!!!Stop kissing me(or something like that) my friends will see this!"
It only gets worse.I know.I am the mom of three daughters. :verysad:

When I think of the first day of school 1st grade - I think of MaryJane Talericio.

She beat the ever living snot out of me.:verysad:

Well, that just about explains everything. :worry:

Anymore when I drop Amber off she just gives me a peck on the cheek and tells me bye. When she gets out of school that's another story. By that time she is so glad to be out of school she runs and hugs me. :proud: :like:
Then again she could be trying to find a way to sneak her bag onto my arm so she doesn't have to carry it. :convinced:
