microcenter has this drive for $219

PM at Staples $299

$299-$219= $80 difference X 110% = $88 PM

$299-$88= $211 staples PM

$211 - $30 off $150 coupon = $181

$181 -$50 Staple Rebate = $131

DO you really think you can use muti-rabate? like the Pricematch, $30 off $150, & and $50 rebate.

you are allowed to muti-rebate. just because you find it cheaper elsewhere and have a coupon code doesn't mean that you have to forfeit your rebate. I work for staples and it's been done. But the 110% pricematch policy is not accurate on what it was listed. Staples will pricematch competitors 100% if u come in store and buy it. Staples will price match a competitor 110% if u already bought the item and then find it cheaper elsewhere. atleast that is how the policy is suppose to be, some people (even associates) don't even know (just a fair warning if you don't get the 110% pricematch)
you can try to pricematch the unpopular places, like stores that aren't even advertised on tv and such. staples is being more strict on pricematching. "We WILL price match our major competitors." ie. best buy, office max, office depot, compusa, and etc. you are always welcomed to try. but it it really does depend on the associate that is checking you out.
but anyways keep up the scouting!

i just went to the staples webpage and didn't find the matching offer. the 200 GB SE Maxtor drive, the "SE" usually means that the drive is an external harddrive. that hd is worth 399 http://www.staples.com/Catalog/Browse/sku.asp?PageType=1&Sku=504513&bcFlag=True&bcSCatId=3&bcSCatName=Technology&bcCatId=18&bcCatName=Computer+Peripherals&bcDeptId=1429&bcDeptName=Drives+%26+Storage&bcClassId=140461&bcClassName=Hard+Drives
the internal 200 GB is going for 299 but there is no 50 dollar mail in rebate.

sometimes staples wont honor a 110% but will match the price...

I took in a calculator to staples to PM that and they PMed it but never gave me a 10% of the difference back...

But we'll see... but keep in mind, they dont PM online prices anymore.

yea, staples isn't suppose to honor web page price matches anymore. but my store will still PM it if it is from stores like office max office depot, compusa, best buy, good guys etc. the well known companies who are the "major competitors"
