    TI-83 Plus Silver Edition Calculator

Okay, this is just a deal that I did already tonight. My TI-83 since 4 years back broke on my last night and I went looking for a subsitute... Since these Graphing Calculators are pretty pricy and I remember reading some things on SpooFee discussions, I got a pretty good deal off my new calculator...

The TI-83 Plus Silver Edition is a more enhanced version of the TI-83 Plus... bleh...

Okay so the deal is... Cheapest you can find it at a retail store is for $129.99 either at Target or Wal-Mart... Online the price they have for cheapest is $88.80 [not sure exact change] but It was with a Yahoo.Shops Link...

Staples will Price match almost ALL Online stores... Staples has the TI-83 Plus Silver Edition going for $149.99 HUGE difference. So they're suppose to refund 110% of the difference right? And since Staples has a cupon for anyting $75 or more, save $15 bucks, I was able to use that as well...

For some reason, that Staples store honored the online price, but didn't give me a 110% of the difference. Gave me only 100%... I applied the Cupon and in the end I paid only $86 something...

the site for $88.80 is this... http://shop.store.yahoo.com/saveontr...inti8sile.html

Staples told me that they need to charge next day delivery charge but the online store didnt offer one, so they just charged $5.95

    So in turn...

Staples Price Matched: $149.99 to $88.80+5.95 shipping
You might get the 110% difference, I didn't
    Then you save $15 bucks...
    $94.75 - $15 = $79.75 Plus tax...

Total comes out around $86 not bad for a silver, clearish calculator that has software and connections and faster processor and more memory!!

I dont know about the TI-89 or TI-83 Plus... im sure they're not bad either... just try for a price match WITH 10% cuz it would have saved me about $6+tax more dollars...

    just a simple deal...

    You're right...

You got a great deal :p

I had a Silver Edition used that I sold on Ebay without the books or Link. I got like $110 for it used! You scored a great deal, and you can almost certainly turn a profit on it at EBAY.

    :p

You're right about graphing calculators. Even TI85's and TI80's can get some good cash on EBAY. I buy every graphing calculator I see on clearence racks and resell them on "the BAY"..

    Nice Tip..

well, I kinda needed a calculator for school and such, yeah what clearance racks though? The stores around my area had no clearance racks or anythinkg like that...

I think if staples comes out again with cupons, and just go price match them with a bulk supply and sell it on ebay for a lot more brand new and factory sealed, :D

make one helluva profit that way!
