SunRocket!
Had the service for two months now, have both my lines ported over, it's a killer deal and a killer service.
Why would you want to go to Vonage or AT&T CallVantage? The biggest?
Hello,
I'm looking to get Vonage or AT&T Callvantage. Does anyone know any special offers or deals on broadband telephone service? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

sunrocket isn't available in my area yet, unfortunately.
Oh, that's really a shame. Have you checked lately however? Along with their capacity upgrade, they've been covering a lot more areas.
Well, either way, if you do get Vonage or AT&T, make sure you don't get into a contract in case SunRocket becomes available in your area.
Another provider that I've heard that people have had good luck with more than Vonage is VoicePulse. Their plans are pretty competitive too, the same $25 a month as Vonage I think.
AT&T CallVantage gets really solid marks overall, it's also the most expensive, Vonage does so-so. I'd check out VoicePulse too.
I've heard that the best Vonage deal is to go through them directly, because they give you a first month free, and maybe waived activation. If you buy a retail box at the store, you're faced with mail-in rebates and an activation fee. Not sure if they waive the activation online, but the free month deal is pretty good.
I have just signed up for BBTELSYS.COM. $199 for one year with unlimited calling within US and Canada. Still waiting for the equipment.... I did not read anything bad about them on all the forums I could get my paws on... ;-)
Good luck!!!
Why not go SunRocket? Interesting, seems to be a SunRocket clone plan. I don't know, SunRocket gets great reviews and I've had great luck. Plus, the free cordless phones can't be beat.
The referral program is awesome too. If anyone does decide to sign up, let me know. Giving me some points wouldn't affect your deal at all.
if you would like credit on Vonage, PM me. I have Vonage now, and if your referred via a 'friend', you get credit on your bill. Basically, it negates any setup fee and shipping charges for the modem.
It was worth it for me, since it saved a few bucks in the begining.
I've had Vonage for a while now, and i am happy with it. I just wish it had anonymous call rejection.
Faxes even work through Vonage.
Just remember, with any VoIP, if you Cable/DSL goes out, your phone goes out.
And 911 isn't the same as E911.
sorry liquid_squelch, I signed up for vonage yesterday afternoon (because i just moved into a new apartment and badly need the phone). however, i ended up getting a good deal:
http://www.vonage.com/visa/
by signing up with a visa card, i got free activation, the first month free, and $10 in credit for international or 411 calls = total $9.99 (for shipping) for the first month of service, or for free if you count the $10 credit for int'l calls.
i also found this deal, which was really great too:
http://www.circuitcity.com/ccd/categ...12826+1263&c=1
this deal gave a free router, free shipping, and a free $50 circuit city gift card! (and i believe the first month free). however, because it was all through rebates, and because i didn't know whether the visa deal would work (and thus whether I would still have to pay the $30 activation fee), i just took the first deal because it was much simpler and surer. this deal should probably go on the front page of spoofee, actually, for anyone who knows... but i don't know how to do that.
Hope this helps someone else, and feel free to PM me or liquid_squelch if you want a referral!
