    Best Sirius radio deal?

Hi everyone. Playing with the idea of getting Sirius radio. Wondering if anyone knows where to get good equipment deals. I know they come and go, but is there anything really good running right now?

Does Sirius ever discount service at all with equipment? I'd want something basic plug-and-play like the Starmate, but better equipment for less would be good as well. I would prefer not being locked into a contract for a rebate because I'd like to be able to cancel if I get bored, and reactivate if I want it again. I would not mind a 6-month contract or whatever if there was a discount on the service.

Anyone do the shopping? I know there was an XM Roady2 deal for $20 the other day but I prefer Sirius. Only advantage I see to XM is that they have better equipment and baseball.

Sirius seems to have the edge in NFL (important to me), NBA, NHL, and NPR public radio, plus a good music selection. Any opinions?

Not bad, so it would be $50 for the Starmate. Any FAR equipment deals? I know XM runs rebates and it's cheap, don't know how Sirius works.

I have not seen anything recently for Sirius. I can tell you that I have it and it is great. I just renewed my plan, got 15 months for the price of 12. If you decide to order, ask the CS rep if there are any specials they can offer you.

You could always get the Starmate home/car package for around $80 after MIR. It is on that website link.

Awesome. Yeah, I've been playing with the idea, waiting for a killer deal. I really want it, and I keep thinking about it, but $12.95 seems like a lot. I want to get it, try it, and be able to cancel if I don't use it after a couple months. That's why I'd prefer no service contract.

A buddy of mine went to Costco and got his Sirius setup for a real good price.

He was able to get the unit, a car kit and a home kit (with remote ) for only a few dollars more than it would have cost to just get the unit.

I've seen the X-act system (I think it's called) at Costco. I think it's like around $100 or something. I'd rather go with the Starmate for $50.

Not that I have Sirius yet, but supposedly they have home and away coverage for every game played. :D
