Why is this not a good idea?

The deal works. $99

Hi! I ordered this today.

Total Quantity: 1

Subtotal: $99.00
Shipping Method: Ground (3 to 5 days)
Shipping Subtotal: $14.95
Order Total: $113.95

When you're in the shopping cart, look down a few lines. You'll see an item that says -$400. This deal works.

Shoot... I'll send your "ancestry" / "health" info for only $49.99.

Ancestry - Monkey (see avatar)
Health - $49.99 poorer

Had a few discussions on whether it's good to know if we have a high chance of having a disease later in life. After some thought, I gave in and got it.

Too good to be true.

I tried to order but the price was switched. Bait and switch. Please do not list these phooey deals.

Hmmm

Not bait and switch. If they offer a promotion for a limited time or have a typo, nobody's perfect. I will be a little leary about a mail in test at any price. They aren't trying to replace the offer with something else. So they aren't switching anything. I missed out on some great deals as well:(

About 20% of the dads aren't the real dads. Better to get a paternity test :-)

The $139 price is a good deal. Instructions worked well (site refers to promo code vs coupon code). Thanks

This would be neat if they didn't store your DNA which Ancestry certainly does.

Deal worked for me. 23andme gives a much more detailed analysis than Ancestry.com.

hurry and help the government build their database.. so they know your relatives when the ww2 style concentration camps make a comeback.. also remember dolly the sheep?

Target doesn't have a better deal. Their deal is $69.99 for the ancestry only kit.

Still have a set from last year I haven’t sent in yet. Been scared to find out my future disease
