So, what happens if you already have an account. If you start up another one, will you get the credit?

    MyAccess Checking®
This account is for customers who use direct deposit and prefer to do the majority of their routine banking transactions electronically - at Atms, by telephone and personal computer and by using direct deposit. We waive the monthly maintenance fee for each statement cycle in which we receive a direct deposit to your account. This non-interest bearing account allows you to write checks without per check charges.

    Minimum to open - $25

    Monthly maintenance fee

Avoid the monthly maintenance fee for each statement cycle in which we receive a direct deposit to your account.
Otherwise, monthly maintenance fee: - $5.95

    Woo. My first front pager

BofA is pretty good if you have dd. Plus, they are headquartered where I live, so I don't mind supporting them.

I used to like Bumrippers Of America until they pulled $20 from my account because I called in to get a balance on my checking account. They might have changed their errant ways, but big banks like this will get their money back very quickly.

I opened a Bank of America savings and checking account two years ago. Biggest mistake I’ve have ever made. They stick you with a fee anyway they can. I don't recommend this bank to anybody. $50.00 is not worth it. My two cents. Thanks. I did close these accounts by the way.

    Sometimes it's $100.00 at BOA.

But one time I got a letter from Washington Mutual offering 100 too.
