I went to Staples today to order a laptop they had advertised for $399 in their weekly ad. Because it was a "Build to Order" laptop, they had an "assembly charge" of $75 listed on the screen when the Staples employee was configuring it for me. On the final invoice page, the "assembly fee" is renamed "delvery fee". I told them to forget it and left rather frustrated. It seems it's just a ploy to add more profit to an ad item. I think it's a ripoff! :thumbs_do
This is temporary, eternity is forever. Know JESUS?
i just looked at the ad online and i see what you're saying.
makes it sound like you can order in the store to save shipping but what it's saying is you can order it and still pay the delivery fee... why would you go into the dumb store if you can order it for the same price online? very confusing and very uncool :thumbs_doShipping charge not included. This product can be ordered in store for delivery or by phone at 1-800-STAPLES. Delivered directly from the manufacturer within 7 to 14 business days.
