Are they that bad. I have a apex DVD the reason I brought it was because it plays svcd's that I download from the net so far its been pretty good.
Apex DVDs happen to be superior, even though they may be cheap. The TVs, however, are very cheap. The Apex DVD players are good because they use good components that work well and play everything, they're also inexpensive. The TVs are really overpriced and for a minimal investment more, go get yourself a name brand HDTV.
Hey Spoofee. Are those Affiliated links up there ? Are we allowed to do that ?
Someone edit them and use the real links.

If your left leg is Thanksgiving and your right leg is Christmas, can I meet you in between the holidays?

I actually have two of the Apex TVs- I bought a 20" for the bedroom and a 13" for the kitchen when circuit City put them on sale last year. I've been really happy with them. Of course, for serious viewing, we have a Sony CRT projector in the living room.... :D

Cool. Anyone know if these portable DVD players will play DVD-R's? If you happen to know what brands work too that would be great to know. I usually use Fuji and Princo.
I don't know about these particular models, but I've found that if you burn to a Maxell DVD-R, it can be played in most anything.
