Why would an x off $300 coupon work for an item under the cost of $300?

Darn. I would have saved myself $17.78 if I waited. I bought it on Monday via Dell Small Business with this deal HERE + MA tax. Ah well.

    ETA

Dell was very quick! I ordered it on Monday AM, got it on Wed PM. :D

Is it possible for a price adjustment?

It might be cause some coupons are for "home" items and others might go towards the purchase of "small business" items. You also have to watch which area the item is being sold from, even though it is the same exact item, it can be sold from "Home" or "Small Business".

Some are real bad and scary.

    Anyone used it? Any reviews/suggestions?

    I just got mine today.

I have it sitting next to the 1905FP and I like the 1905FP much better. The 1907FP has terrible field of view. If you're not looking directly straight at the monitor the colors are off. The worse is viewing from the bottom, where the whole screen turns dark. At 45 degrees off to the side, I can notice the color difference, but it's acceptable. Same with viewing from the top.

So if you want to turn two of these vertical to get a 2048x1280 display, this is NOT the display for you.

Just for reference, whatever angle you look at the 1905FP, the picture looks great.

    Fine for regular use

Been using mine for the past couple of days. never seen an 1905FP, but for $219, this ain't so bad. For hardcore graphic designers, etc, definaetly not the monitor you want. Not nearly as good as a CRT; LCDs have a hard time keeping up even at fast refresh rates.

I do agree about the wierd brightness at top and bottom. That part is a definate thumbs down, bot not an issue doing offcie work or surfing web.

The base is rock solid on mine.

Field of view is good. Watched about 5 episodes of Seinfeld on DVD on this thing last night. A little adjusting sure (like most LCDs) , but didn't bother me where I was bobbing my head looking for a better angle.

BUt still, compared to other 19" LCD monitors, you could do A LOT worse. I'm happy with it and would buy another for a dual set up.

    Forget The User Reviews....

    ...

From the same Cnet review by Cnet:

"The bottom line: With good performance, a stylish design, and all the flexibility we could ask for in a monitor, the Dell UltraSharp 1907FP is one of the few entries in the budget display category that we highly recommend."

User reviews often contains bias and unresolved oersonal issues. Cnet gives tough, unbiased reviews. A "7.5 - Very Good" rating from Cnet is all I need to make my own informed buying decision.

    1905 vs 1907

the 1905 was the model they used for the previous 3 years before the new 1907
