Looks pretty tempting, I really need a DVD burner. I think I am going to wait a while to see if I can get one for under $100. I am guessing Office Max should have some good start of school sales coming up. What do you guys think? Also have been debating whether to get DVD+ or DVD- format. I know DVD- media seems to be cheaper, but what do you think will eventually win the format competition?
Looks like memory rebate 1 is expired. All others look good.
The link for the valid memory link is : http://images.officemax.com/pdf/2003_07/Kingston1.pdf
:D
I recenlty had to decide between +/- myself. I went with plus, but who knows who'll win, if either.
For the money I couldn't justify an additional $70 for a dual format drive.
All the new HP computers ship with plus drives, so that's a huge customer base to let down if plus gets dropped.

I have a + and - my friend have a + but I don't see a different on it, the only difference is the stupid + and - will cost alot more
damn, i got 2 of those memore already and use 2 different addresses...hmm, wonder if i should go ahead and use a third address. lol...is this deal really worth it?
If your left leg is Thanksgiving and your right leg is Christmas, can I meet you in between the holidays?
Well, I just paid $130 for the same burner alone last week at staples.
So I'd say so.

Well, a couple of issues, one, the rebate can take quite some time to get as Cen has to pay the rebate people who then pay you. Figure about 4 to 6 months for that. Second, dvd+R media is twice what +r media is. So if you get 100 2x -r Accus for $100, you'd pay about $175-200 for the same amount of +r disks, depending where you shop. Seems easier to me to get a Pioneer -r for $150.00 from avlogic.com
EDIT: no forget it i got it
Thanks for the valid memory rebate link, ici:
also, I noticed that the OM rebate printout for the DVD burner states that it's for the DVD-R drive(?) Misprint? The info for the item on the OM site also has a misprint, saying it's compatible with DVD-R, etc. Those people don't have a clue. . .
Pioneer was making the DVD-R/RW drives. I wonder who is making the DVD+R/RWs??
Also, concerning the concern for the price of media mentioned earlier, check out www.meritline.com . Sam's Club also has some decent pricing on the 2.4x DVD+Rs.

This Cendyne 4x DVD+R drive is a repackaged NEC ND-1100a. A lot of companies are using this drive which is another reason I bought it; there should a a good deal of support for it.
wait wait wait... is this a DVD+R or a DVD-R? im confused now
JK:
Looks to be a DVD+R/RW. My stuff is shipping from Colorado - I'm supposd to get it 07/23. This is a very good deal after MIRs.
