Amazon has the Norton Internet Security 2003 and McAfee VirusScan 7 for free after rebates. Both products qualify for eachother's upgrade rebates.

    1. Norton IS 2003 : $49.99
    2. VirusScan7 : $19.99
    3. Coupon Price : -$10 | Code : TENBUCKS4NIS
    4. Norton IS Rebate1 : -$20.00 ( Send Original NIS UPC )
    5. Norton Upgrade Rebate : -$30 ( Send the Title Page of Mcafee Virus Scan Manual )
    6. McAfee Upgrade Rebate : -$20 ( Send the Title Page of Norton Internet Security Manual )
    Final Price : Make $10

So do I need to have owned a previous version of NIS or McAfee VirusScan to recieve the rebates? I have never really understood what "upgrade rebates" were.

An upgrade rebate in most cases is that you own an older version of the product and you buy a new version of that product, then you send a copy of the front page of your old manual and they send you a rebate. Another thing is that if you own a competitors product, in this case Norton and McAfee, then you can send in a copy of the manual to the other company and they will use that for the upgrade rebate. They look at it in the sense that you are going from there competitors product to there's. I hope this makes a little sense.

    Norton IS 2003 is $66.99, NOT $49.99

Did the price go up, or did I miss something?

I followed the steps, but don't see the -$10:

    Norton IS 2003 = $66.99
    McAffee VS HE 7 = $19.99
    TENBUCKS4NIS = -$10.00
    Norton IS rebate = -$20.00
    Norton Upgrade Rebate = -$30.00
    McAffee Upgrade Rebate = -$20.00
    -----------------------------------------
    $6.98 (still a decent deal)

    NIS DILEMMA!!!

Hello, I just got around to sending this rebate... Anyone know, how I can
get both the $20 NIS rebate and the $30 NIS competitor rebate if they each require the UPC code from the box?

If I remember correctly the rebate states you can use the box flap that has the proof of purchase or the bar code from the bottom of the box. So I used the box flap for one and the bar code for the other.

TENBUCKS4NIS--Stands for Ten bucks 4 Norton Internet Security. So it was only good for the listed products. Sorry :(
