Okay folks, let's get serious here.
If your friends/relatives/loved ones are really sick, you'd do better to get them some medical attention, rather than give them a lump of clay "hand-painted to match all ethnic groups."
In fact, studies have shown that sick people who are prayed for by strangers, as is the deal with these clay uni-ethnic "angel" dolls, actually have more complications than those who don't have to suffer such prayers.

What studies???? That is so bogus and is bordering on being insensitive to boardites who have family members in need of prayer.

If you don't want a sample of something, move on to the next post. But please respect people who are in situations that you are not personally involved in.

    Thanks Mom2Aaron for the post.

A "discussion" board is typically meant to show a variety of views. Spoofee members post notices of good deals and free deals. Also appropriately, some postings are warnings about bogus deals. It is proper according to forum rules for Spoofee members to warn of poor quality on a product, a company which notoriously fails to pay rebates, or phishing and spam "offers," or those which otherwise don't or can't make good on their offers.

As to your question, I'm refering to the July 16, 2005 issue of The Lancet which published a study on 737 patients. "Neither prayer nor MIT therapy individually or together was effective in reducing the number of deaths, problems that emerged, or hospital readmissions."

If someone wants to believe in the power of prayer and seeks guidance in their time of need, it is up to them and their belief, it is no one elses place to denounce what they want to believe in. We are all entitled to find whatever solace in whatever place we can and in times of crisis prayer makes a lot of people feel better. Let people put their faith where they want to...

And not to sound insensitive to your position 737 patients out of the MILLIONS that do pray and believe that prayer has something to do with recovery and that prayers do get answered is a small number.
