    I need help!!

I have two major problems right now, and they weigh 100 and 60lbs. I can't keep my dogs off the furniture and out of the bay window when I am gone. I frosted the window last year and it took me a real long time to do because of the design. Well I am having to clean that window every other day and it's starting to wear the frost off. Can anyone help me? I don't know what to do. Remember I mentioned that they are big dogs so I can't lock them up in the bathroom. Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

Here are my suggestions, in no particular order

    Put em to sleep
    Give them away
    Leave them outside
    Let them run away
    Take them with you
    Never leave the house
    Board up the window
    Don't worry about it
    Move the couch
    Stop cleaning the window
Scrape the frost off all together
    Get smaller dogs
    Move to a bigger house

Just a few suggestions, maybe one might help you. ;)

Get large indoor dog cages to put them in when you are out? They can have their favorite blankets or toys in there with them.

I don't have enough room for a cage large enough for them both. Thanks though!

Is there a way that you can gate them in a specific room when you are away, that way, they don't get into your things.

its not the dog that needs to be trained, its the owner of the dogs that needs to be trained to take care of the dogs. your dogs do what they do because they dont consider you to be the master of the house. you need to get some tips from ceasar the dog whisperer.

I can't gate them into any room because the one dog (who is the biggest problem) can jump over any gates. Yes the dogs behavior is my fault but there is nothing I can do about them getting into the window when I am gone. They are very protective dogs and even the slightest noise outside gets them going. I have been watching the Dog Whisperer in hopes of catching an episode that deals directly to my situation. Thanks for the input.

if you cant control your dogs by your actions, then put a leash on them when you leave the house

Fence in your yard and let them stay outside..Provide a doghouse, shade, and water for them of course.

my yard is fenced in but my neighbor on the one side refuses to let me put up a privacy fence on that side, so....my dogs can easily jump over a fence that is only 4 foot high. That and I have a pool that I have found my big boy swimming in. My dogs really are good...doesn't sound like it but my biggest concern is them on the furniture. I should mention that one is part Weimerainer and for anyone that knows what those dogs are like can see my problem.

don't know if this would help at all but, don't they sell sprays that are specificaly to keep dogs and cats away from things such as furniture?I can't remember what is in them but it's suppose to be harmless to them. Maybe you can spray the area with this? Do you let them go to the window when you are at home? If so then you should definatley let them know that's off limits.Remember YOU are the boss and YOU have to let them know that. It's realy to bad you don't have room for an indoor kennell, that would make them feel safer and more secure when you are not there, which might be why they are doing this.Good luck.

When I am home they know better not to get into the window. I have the love seat in front of it. Thanks for the tip about the spray. I'll look into that.

Agreed, that was one of my solutions above.

Everything anyone posted will not work, so what more is there to do. You can invite Dehawk to stay with you for a while, he will take care of them for you. ;)

If nothing else, JUST DEAL WITH IT! LOL
