    Totally random: BOC still exists?

So I was looking at the entertainment at the local fair for next week.. and in the beer tent they're having Blue Oyster Cult.

And i'm pretty sure it's *the* Blue Oyster Cult. I thought that was so 30 years ago. I think it's free though. I might go. Curiosity will get me.

Might be pretty interesting show to see, nothing like seeing a popular 70-80's band playing at a beer tent at a state fair! LOL

Hahah yeah I just stumbled across that. I'm just aghast. That band was more or less gone by the time I was born. And i'm one of those people who loves singing along to 'em on the radio..

and then they show up in my little podunk town out of nowhere.

    :D

    Isn't success grand! LOL

I am sure they are just doing what they love to do, play music on stage, wherever it may be.

Last year I was at a State fair and I walked by the outdoor theater and a band was playing Foreigner songs. I thought to myslef, man... that band is really good, they sound exactly like Foreigner. Come to find out, it WAS Foreigner!:34: I didn't know they were even still alive, who knew!

It's a sign of the times

Alas a number of the big name bands from the 70s - 80s have gone from (in my area) filling Giants Stadium 0r Madison Square Garden, (two-week soldouts performances) to one day shots at PNC Bank Arts Center and Jones beach.

Soon the Who will be playing cover at the 'Dew Drop Inn'.
