Some time this week most Circuit city stores should have 2 cardboard dump bins in their games department with games for all systems at $4.99 each. There are some good titles and some bad ones. To get an idea of some of the titles you can go to www.circuitcity.com and look at game titles by price...

Titles will vary because it's mostly games that stores have had for a while and never sold, but some of the titles are pretty good. I believe the date for them to hit the floor is tues or wed, but some stores might have them out as early as today.

Folks have been leaving CC with 100 games for $499. Apparently they plan to sell them on ebay for $2499.

has anyone actually gone in and done this yet? I don't see anything in this weeks circular either.
 
I went today to check it out. The store I went to didn't have any bins out with the games in it, and when I asked about it they said some of the ones on the shelf were $4.99 (even though they were marked for more) and I'd just have to bring some up to the counter to have them scan them to get the real price. I was able to get Gladius, Celebrity Death Match, Fairly Odd Parents, Cat in the Hat, Frogger, and Haunted Mansion for the Xbox though.
 
I went into my cc to ask about it and the guy said that sale starts on the 11th. he said someone leaked the info out too early on the internet, and ppl have been calling like crazy asking about it!! Guess i will go back on Sunday!!
 
You should try going back there and taking a game like Gladius (Xbox) or The Haunted Mansion (Xbox) up to the counter and ask them to scan it for the price. It should show up as $4.99. There are a few more that should ring up as $4.99 but I don't know exactly which ones.

While I was checking out I noticed some employees with a list getting ready to start putting a bin together though. Maybe tomorrow I'll drive a couple cities over to see what the other Circuit City has.
 
Go back (assuming they have some left) w/ the list printed and look yourself. Don't be lazy and ask them cause they get mad about it. Good luck finding it though, most of the stores are picked clean once the employees found out about them.
 
Some of the ones on the list (i.e. The Sims [Xbox]) weren't ringing up as $4.99 yesterday when I went.

Today, I went to the Circuit City in Modesto, CA and they had a cart out with all their $4.99 games on it. The cashier made it seem like they had even more in the back and were going to put them all out on Sunday because that's when the sale was supposed to be, but who knows.
 
I bought about 20 xbox, ps2 and gba games for my kids.

Ok, ok ... for me too. :)

Wow. I own legal games now. What's next? Actually buying a prerecorded DVD??
 
I got NFL 2k3 for GC, Stuntman and JetGrindRadio for GBA. Me and 2 other video game junkies looked pretty sad sorting all the video games outta both bins and stacking them just to find what all was there, heh heh. Some jerk craftily placed Warioland and Rogue Squadron for GC in there to make us think they were 5 bucks, which it turned out they weren't :mad:
