Exclamation Bag of Organic Spinach replacement

As you may know, there is an E.Coli outbreak through some bagged Organic spinach. So, if you are like me, and have an open bag of Organic Spinach in your refrigerator, throw it away, and get a refund or a replacement by calling: 800-690-3200. Or, if you dare, just call & request a replacement even if you don't have one sitting in your refrigerator.

    Here's the CNN article:

Somebody died from the e. coli in the spinach, and lots of others are ill. Its one thing to get your money back if you bought the product, quite another to try to actually profit from the situation.

    Cross Valley
    D'Arrigo Brothers

The FDA recommends disposing of all spinach, canned, fresh, frozen, or bagged, harvested after August 1st. The problem is farmers who use cow manure as fertilizer (source of e.coli) and then people eating the spinach raw. Our company has had to dispose of thousands of pounds of spinach at 8000 locations across North America.

Groove, is the cow manure story confirmed?

This is going to really upset the organic foods crowd!

As long as you don't use manure as fertilizer, you will be ok. Oh, and no rabbits crap on it too.

It's not confirmed, but very likely as e.coli is only found in the intestines of mammals. There isn't too much else that could cause that unless farmers were out in the fields doing their business and then harvesting the spinach, and that would have to be a lot of farmers doing that.
