    Cool Tur.duck.hen.........yummmmmmmm....

    I'm having a Tur-Duck-Hen for Thanksgiving. :claps:

It's stuffing in a boneless chicken stuffed into a boneless duck stuffed into a boneless turkey - and HOLY CRAP does it look good.

Anyhoo, anyone have any idea how long it takes to thaw? We've had it for three days and every night for about two hours, we take it out and run cool water over it, then put it back in the fridge.

I don't want to screw it up as they are $90.00 and our entire Thanksgiving meal

Any suggestions would be much appreciated.

    Thanks - jj

Its not that good, IMO. I'm down south and they're popular, but I dont particularly like them. Then, I don't care for duck. Maybe thats the whole problem.

I would probably run water over it non stop until its defrosted then put it back in the fridge. Especially since the big day is tomorrow.

I'm so excited, it's gonna be delicious - of course, duck is my favorite bird, so that may make me a bit bias.

Hopefully the genius can figure out the cooking part - I can thaw ( i hope), but noooooo no no noooooooooo on the cooking.

And I will absolutely report all my finding.

    .....mmmmm.....spicy cajun......delicious..........:marshmallow: :marshmallow:

Of course the hacked up part looks gross, but look at the piece on the right, you can see the different layers of meat, which is most likely what they were trying to demonstrate.

    Lemon Meringue! I like dat.

As a great man by the name of Jay Leno said " Did you hear that lots of Americans are having a thing called a Turduckin for thanksgiving, seems you put a chicken inside a duck inside a turkey. HOW Fat is america getting, when we need to eat three meats at once. "
By the way, i ate one a while ago, tastes great.

    Holy crap! :claps:

What a delicious way to stuff yourself. The turkey was a liiiiitle bit dry, but other than that, it was amazing. There was a LOT of stuffing in the middle, but I think that was to keep it's shape.

I absolutely recommend it to all who are interested.

By the way, the best part of the entire experience was the duck. It was perrrrrrfect.
