    Thanks!

    I use Solidworks for 3D modeling and needed a XP Pro version to run it on my home PC which I only had the XP Home version.

    Awesome!

    Now I can work at home...

    errr wait maybe this wasn't so hot of a deal... ;)

    NFR = Not For Resale..

    These guys are going to get busted for selling this, I would steer very very clear of this. You dont want to piss off Microsoft with their licensing model.

    And if they get busted for selling this, I am sure MS will get a list of those people who buy this...

    Surplus Computers has been selling Microsoft NFR products for years without any problem. They just don't sell the current versions like Vista or Offices 2007 in NFR versions.

    Like CDMan said. There is nothing illegal about this.

    These are OEM versions or packaged in bulk form.

    Bulk being a misnomer in this case.

    They have (and most other manufacturers) have done this since the beginning of PC time.

    They were created for major retailers, resellers or wholesalers to include with new PC's such as Dell, Gateway etc...

    Now I'm sure they (Microsoft) are dumping their surplus inventory with the Vista's release.
