I am a sirius subscriber, and this offer is probable just a user name and password to try it for free on the internet. Their website offers a free 3 day trial, and AAA members get a 7 day trial. Have to listen to it through your PC.

Yeah, you can listen to many of the XM channles through aol.com for free too(no aol or xm software needed). Either one of the big satellite companies are way better than terrestrial radio.

I signed up for the sirius trial to see which one I like better before committing to one or the other. I am leaning towards XM based on my music preferences.

I have had XM for two years and love it. Since I belong to the "I hate Howard Stern uni-fan club" I was happy to see I wasn't putting any money into that bozo's pocket when he got kicked off regular radio. Not to say I don't listen to X-XM comedy but at least it's done by real comedians.

My main reason for preferring XM is musical, like I said. I am very big electronic dance music fan (inaccurately called "techno" by most Americans) and XM has more and better edm stations. If you do not live in a place NYC, LA, Chicago, or Miami, real dance music is severely lacking (and even in these markets it is often of mediocre quality). Other than sports and some occasional comedy, I do not like to hear people talk on the radio, mostly commercials and "dj's". When I turn on my radio, I want to hear music. I don't wanna hear anybody having a farting contest or some loudmouth attempting to sell me a car. Yesterday, my first 5 presets all had commercials on at the same time.

One other reason for me to prefer XM is they have NHL games, and as you can tell by my avatar, I like hockey.

It's very easy. You sign up, they give you a password and you put it in and listen. They also offer you a $50 radio for free after rebate with a 6 month paid subscription if you want to subscribe. I believe it is about $13 a month, so you would end up paying roughly $28 for 6 months of service and the radio. Not a bad deal.

The talk radio does have interruption. Sirius has a lot more and longer commercials on the talk radio. But they will soon be the same company anyway.
