Sooooooooooooo we were pulling into Sam's Club yesterday. We looped around because this guy was leaving (this is after circling the lot couple of times) and as we come back in, this lady pulls in real quick, flips on her blinker like she and her little coup are going to take the parking space. My husband was driving and was like I dont think sooooo - our big SUV will run up over your car like a Monster truck rally! Driver pulling out sees what is going on and is trying their best to block her, but she goes in right as we do and almost hits us. And I am talking inches......
Granted fighting over spaces is petty and we have never really done it before, but it was clear (even to the driver pulling out) that we had dibs.
She didnt even realize that she would have hit Kadin's door and if that would of happened...

Driving home tonight a car decides he is going to just try to cross four lanes of traffic to get to the other side. Problem being ...uh cars were coming. So I slowed down and eventually stopped for this moron. Does he continue to cross all the way over or even try to get into the turn lane......NOOOOOOOOOOO. He pulls into my lane right in front of me and puts his signal on so he can cross/ merge into the remaining lanes.

First let me lay some background......the previous owners of our business are having financial trouble. We have received quite a few calls from debt collectors for them - and I have politely told all of them that those persons are no longer at this number. We have all been there in one way or another - either owing a debt or just doing our job. And let me repeat that I have been nice to all of them...........until today...........
Today's call was a gentleman who spoke poor english and it took me a couple of minutes to figure out what he was calling for. He was very vague in giving me any information at all, but he said it was an account for the business from 2 or 3 years ago (previous owners). I was patient and kind as he repeated his business, and then I told him that the people he were looking for are no longer at this number. He then told me that he spoke to someone at this number last Monday and they said they were sending a check. I quickly looked at the calendar and I remembered that I was home all day last Monday - only because we had a houseguest and the events that were going on. I told this gentleman again that this was not our account - I spoke to no one and this account was not ours. He insisted that he talked to someone and that payment was on the way. I said "Sir, I would have been the only person you would have talked to, and we did not speak last Monday and I surely hope you are not lying." He still insisted that this fake conversation happened.
So...I lost it!!!!
I said "Ok, what is my name? Did I give you my name?"
he said "No"
I said "Ok how about the check - did I tell you what check number I was sending?"
again "No"
I said "Well sir this is the type of information that I would have given you or you would have already had. You have the wrong number, Good day!"
I hung it up!

I'm not a lawyer, and I don't play one on TV, but perhaps if you ran a legal notice in the local newspaper stating that "As of XX/XX/XXXX, Mr. (previous owner) is no longer affiliated with (Your company name). The present owners of this company assume no liability for debts incurred by Mr. (previous owner).
Get a number of copies of this when it comes out, and when you get such calls, mail a copy of the legal notice to them.
I thought about telling him to wait for the check......... but I was not in the mood today!

Most of the calls we have received have all had caller id - in which I can call back and request that our number be removed. This one was an "out of area"
There is a fax machine that calls early in the morning sometimes that is also "out of the area" Thank God it didnt call today too - it would have sent me over the edge!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You may be able to get the telephone company invovled with the middle of the night faxes. Tell them that they are harassing calls in the middle of the night (which they are) and they will trace them. I do not believe they will tell you who they are from, but what the 'company' is doing is illegal and the phone company will contact them on your behalf once you file a complaint. (Keep track of the day and time these happen!) Call the phone company.I thought about telling him to wait for the check......... but I was not in the mood today!
