    Daylight Savings Time Patch

Daylight savings time comes 2 weeks earlier & lasts 2 weeks longer this year. So you need a patch for your computer. You can get it at:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/931836

If you bought a new computer that already knows about it you don't need this patch. I think that computers that have their clocks updated via the net each day should be okay too.

    Time Zone Update download(free)

Daylight Savings Time in the U.S. begins earlier and ends later starting this year - which means your PC might not set it's clock correctly when the time comes.

Microsoft's published a list of products affected by the new DST period which includes Windows XP and Outlook. To make sure your Outlook appointments and system clock isn't an hour off starting on March 11, Microsoft's offering a Time Zone Update tool as a free download.

Addtionally, hit up Microsoft's online wizard to get your XP PC up to speed on the new time change period.

What other reason could their be but to give more work hours?

It also should be available via Windows Update.

For those running Windows 2000 there is an alternative at http://www.intelliadmin.com/blog/200...-daylight.html
The IntelliAdmin site also has a patch for Windows 98.

There are more alternatives for Windows 2000/XP and Windows 98/ME/95 at http://www.mdgx.com/add.htm#TZU

There is yet another alternative for Windows 98, via a registry patch, at http://solprovider.com/articles/win98timezones

Some states are not falling back after DST goes into effect (as some if Indiana already does). They tried passing in the NC state house, but it didn''t make it.

That must be something for calendar companies to deal with. The one I bought gives March 11.
