How much would the six million dollar man cost by today's cost? Also, how much would they be able to do today for 6 million dollar? Would he just have one bionic leg?

Interesting topic - considering that a VCR cost about $800 at the time as well, we might actually be able to 'farm out the work' overseas and bring his 'bottom line' down and actually generate a good profit. :)

So true... so true...

He could be called the "6 million dollar Walmart man"

considering the 6 mill dollar man came out in 1974.... the inflation percentage between then and now is rought 310%, he would be pretty darn pricey! 18 million if my math is right.

but as precocious said, it price of technology also fluctuates and things get cheaper.

Hey- does anybody know how much the human body is actually worth now-a-days?

A long time ago, I remember reading an article that calculated how much a human body would be worth part for part. It was interesting...

not much

When we total the monetary value of the elements in our bodies and the value of the average person's skin, we arrive at a net worth of $4.50!

Awe shucks! We're worth a lot more than that!

However, the one that I remember was taking it "part by part" like... your kidney is worth $, your heart is worth $.... kind of like junking a car (for lack of a better description  )...

There's a big deal going on in NYC right now where some funeral directors where selling body parts (unbeknownst and of course without consent of the family). Funny thing is, one of the guys who was doing this, went to school with hubby! LOL

And I did find out that on the market Men's brains where worth more than women's! Something about that they were in better condition because they weren't used as much. :o

Ya know, that $6M guy was just TV....they didn't really make Lee Majors into that bionic guy.
