That is what I will be doing this weekend. I'll be walking my butt off...hopefully literally.LOL
It's 60 miles over the course of three days.
I really encourage each and every one of you to take a few moments and check out the site.
The first time I saw the video it made me cry and I'm not the crying type.
I'm sure each of us have been affected by breast cancer in one way or another.
Me and thousands of others walk to find a cure.
Eighty-five percent of the net proceeds of this event go to Susan G. Komen for the Cure. The remaining fifteen percent of net funds goes to the National Philanthropic Trust Breast Cancer Fund.
Every day, we're moving closer to ending breast cancer forever. But we need your help. Your endurance. Your mettle. Your power to inspire others. We need you to work hard - harder, maybe, than you've ever worked before.
If you are willing, I would greatly appreciate any kind words of encouragement and strength. I sure am going to need it!

I knew I had seen you mention this earlier! Best to you in your participation in this wonderful cause. I walked 10 miles this past weekend in the Hunger Walk...and that's all my poor little butt could take. Just please keep stretching and keeping hydrated and be safe while you are having fun! 60 miles is a long way...but just think of what you will accomplish! We're proud of you!
And who will be feeding the dogs while you're away??? Watering the plants? Taking in the mail???

Thanks everyone!! I had such a great time. The whole experience was very moving.
I'm not going to lie....that was a rough walk. I came home last night and counted all of my blisters and I had 17. Granted I didn't take my shoes off on Sunday since I put them on at 5am ( I knew if I took them off at all I wasn't putting them back on). I had a total of 42 blisters, I had my ankle wrapped once and both knees were wrapped twice, but I would absolutely do this again. I've signed up to be a crew member next year. I only saw one Massage Therapist during the whole walk and I was told that they couls really use the help. This way it gives all the people I begged money for a break. :p
I will probably be posting some pictures tomorrow. Don't worry, I'll save your eyes and stomachs and not post any pics of my blisters...lol.
Thanks for the mint! Next time you want to stay just make sure you throw away the empty milk cartons and put down the toilet seat. :p
