Size: 6.0 KB pic of cake (ok...well, pretty close. I am such an idiot though. This shows how ed-du-ma-cat-ed I am though in liqueurs). I didn't realize chambord was a raspberry liqueur. When I was asking the lady at the bakery, she said "oh, it's just chocolate layered with a raspberry sauce." She could have been a little more exact. So question is...can my 4 1/2 year old and 2 1/2 year old have a little bit? I hope the taste isn't overwhelming. *&#^! - I just saw it's 16.5% alcohol (33 proof).

i dont think a little piece would hurt them you can add ice cream on the side to even it out. back in the old days before my time LOL people used to use whiskey to relief babys from tooth aches thanks to modern medicine we dont do that but if our grandparents have dont it and that means nothing has happened to us, well to some of us

I don't believe the concentration in a baked good would be of any significance at all. Most sauces are cooked at some point in the process so there is no alcohol left to be concerned about. If the product was not heated it still is most likely fine as any recipe I have ever made calls for very little Chambord (I LOVE Chambord and I love any excuse to bake with it!!)to get the raspbery flavor ~usually less than a cup. I say dig in!!

Let them eat the cake, they'll fall asleep quick (pass out) and then the celebration really begins! LOL

    He'll help you celebrate....;)

    Have a happy one Sunbeam!

So I'm 16 or 21 today?!? I WISH!!!!!!!! Snibble and Chicken Nugget...keep it on the warmer! Thanks again everyone...the liqueur had no effect on my kids...the chocolate, however, hyped them up quite a bit. It was heavenly cake, and there's another 1/2 left!
