BRISTOL, Pa. (AP) -- People in Bucks County, Pennsylvania, are being warned about a giant snake that's on the loose in the borough of Bristol. Authorities believe the snake has eaten several kittens.
Animal control officers spent most of the day Thursday searching for the snake, which may be a boa or a python.
They thought they captured it on Wednesday when they found a nine-foot python nearby, but it's an albino. That snake escaped from a vehicle and authorities found the owner.
Animal officers believe the snake they are looking for now is similar in size, but dark in color.
The snake is nocturnal so animal control officers conducted an overnight search and plan to continue the hunt.
The snake was spotted lurking in the backyard of a home several times over the past couple of weeks.
