The restriction against UPS and FED-EX delivering first class mail should be lifted.

The post office is just another bloated government debacle.

Just the kind of folks I want running health care, banking and the auto industry.
That which does not kill me has made a tactical error.
Who is John Galt? Obama's worst nightmare.

At our post office, the clerks work at the pace of mud... it doesn't matter how long the line is or what the season is... whether it's in the middle of summer or the Christmas rush, they always seem nonplussed and walk as if they are on benedryl...

Our mail carrier for our neighborhood isn't much better either. She complains to me that she has a bad knee and can't lift my packages that she needs to deliver, but she can cut through my garden and hop down a wall 3 feet high to the next house because she doesn't want to take the long way around.

Exactly! On Saturdays (the busiest day) at our local PO there's never more than 2 people working and they are slow as hell. I've even seen employees take a break when the line has been 15+ people long! Whenever we go, we expect to wait at least 15-20mins in line.

You are so not going to get any mail delivered.

    Prepare to be "Newmaned".
Nothing a little bourbon and soda wouldn't fix.
