Read an article where Americans spend an average of $361 on Christmas gifts. Are you below or above the average for this year?! I am a bit above it... Merry Christmas to all!

You know I felt rather perplexed when I read that amount! :convinced: Shucks, while I personally do not have little ones, I can only imagine the cost of electronic toys these days! The article did not say that it was per person, I took it for the entire budget! Hmmmmmmm me thinks it isn't very realistic in today's economy. Merry Christmas to all!

Sophie's getting:

1) Electric guitar
2) iPod (refurbished)
3) Digital Camera
4) Two American Girls (FYI she got one when I took her to the American Girl Place this past weekend)
5) Etc.
6) Etc.

:worry: :worry: :o :o

Can't take her without me, BD- I want to be part of your family for Christmas too!!!!:)

OK. I guess I better pull the slide out of the garage too. ;)

Sounds good to me- I'll be there- oh, and don't forget my presents...:bigok:

BTW just to clarify all those items for Sophie aren't only from me. Some are from the grandparents and Santa.

Whahooooooo! Free presents at Big D's house! I need an IPOD! Hmmm, ugh, let me think, what exactly IS an IPOD!??! :convinced:  Merry Christmas to all Spoofee Parents or Parents In the Process!

To answer the actual question here, I think I spend right around average or a little more- not completely sure though...

Yes your article sounds more realistic for today's economy. I have heard most parents spending over a grand on their children this year. Sadly I bet they don't walk out of the store with to many bags either.

Yup, we are a package deal!!! I get to go on the slide first though, blue!!

I really don't know how much I spend on Amber for Christmas. I agree w/ you immizliz, it's not all about presents! My neighbors and mail lady get homemade cookies. I began that because I didn't have the money, but am finding that every year it costs quite a bit to make these homemade gifts.

Butty, I'll let you go down the slide first, I guess... but I get to open the first present!
