AcomData 60GB Hard Drive for $59.99 Shipped

This isn't a bad deal. The drive isn't that large but with most of these you can easily crack them open and put in a larger drive. Figure an external firewire/usb enclosure (no drive) cost about $30, then you're getting a 60GB IDE drive for $24.99.

W/ all due respect sensei, I don't think this is a great deal at all. I paid the same amount and got a 250 gig external 7200 RPM USB2 drive. A better drive and more than 4 times bigger.

I recommend sitting this one out, campers. That being said, if you have a bunch of internal drives just sitting on your bookshelf, then you could do what Sensei said to get them in operation again.

Maybe our friend MexIndian forgot to realize is that the deal is for a 2.5 inch laptop hard drive inside the case, whereas he is talking about a 250GB 3.5 inch hard drive, which always costs less.

Your 250GB is not necessarily better b/c it's not as portable as the tiny 2.5 inch drives. Yours needs a power cord and power supply and is bulky, heavy, and not very portable. Eh, i'm sick of explaining the difference to noobs...

So I recommend jumping in one of these, campers. At a dollar a gig WITH an external drive, its a great deal. I recently built one for a friend for $120, but it only had 100GB.. that's more than a dollar a gig.

PEACE!!!
